**Solution Scale Engineer Job Description**
Position Description:
As a Solution Scale Engineer you will assist in designing, building, and communicating scalable solutions on the Qualtrics XMos. This may include, demo resources such as dashboards, surveys, reports, integrations, scripts, videos, and presentations.
You will also conduct proof of concepts (POCs) for potential customers by uploading their data into a project and building initial dashboards and analytics to be presented back to
- or handed off to
- the prospect with minimum guidance.
You will assist in documenting instructions for value selling key features, integrations, or solutions in Qualtrics that can enable others in the organization to more easily demonstrate, understand, and sell our capabilities.
You may also be invited to assist the Solution Engineers with customer facing presentations and in answering RFPs, RFIs, Security Questionnaires, analysing customer data, building demonstration resources and other related inquiries during the sales process.
You will be a key member of a working group collaborating with the Product Marketing Managers, the Product Managers, the Solution Strategists and the Solution Engineers to design, create, communicate and maintain the innovative GTM solutions to the Revenue Organisaton, enabling Account Executives and Solution Engineers to demonstrate the solutions.
You will also be conducting a number of activities to support the growth of the organisation, including delivering internal training and enablement sessions to the solution scale team and sales representatives, reviewing and improving existing process’ efficiency, and mentoring the development of junior team members.
The role is a stepping stone into the Solutions Engineer (SE) role so there is a focus on balancing the core responsibilities of the role with developing the skills and getting the experience necessary to transition into the Solution Engineering role. This will include:
- Mentoring/enablement from members of the team
- Mock demonstration exercises, and
- Shadowing experienced SEs on opportunities
- Running smaller opportunities, with SE support
- Running smaller opportunities solo
As a general rule we work on 18-24 month transition timeframe from the Solution Scale Engineer to the Solution Engineer role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and demonstrates complex solutions
- Architects solutions and prototype solutions for customers
- Provide exemplary pre-sales technical expertise through technical and product presentations, demonstrations, pilot implementations, and on-going sales consultation
- Drive the adoption of Qualtrics solutions within accounts, expanding usage across departments within organizations. Translate product/technical features into value drivers
- Develop and maintain training materials, and deliver training to improve product knowledge and demo abilities of salespeople
- Build working knowledge of competing products and how to technically sell against them
- Work collaboratively with Solution Engineering, Solution Strategy, and Training & Enablement in delivering world-class solutions at scale
- Respond to initial product requests and frame product issues for discussion and resolution with Product and Engineering teams
- Communicate effectively w/ product management, engineers, marketing, and other stakeholders in describing problems succinctly to enable issue management
- Become an expert in all Qualtrics products
- Develop/maintain technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends
- Assisting in global working groups to develop GTM solutions and effectively enable Account Executives & Solution Engineers to demonstrate the solutions
- Working on impactful initiatives and projects focus on sustainable growth of the organisation, including internal trainings, mentoring junior team members to develop professional skills, onboarding new joiners, etc
