Inventory Planner

The Inventory Planner will be supporting the overall planning activities for the Company’s production, ensuring smooth business operations within department guidelines and corporate policies. He/She will also be responsible for planning and prioritising operations to optimise orders in accordance with demand and available resources, ensuring maximum performance and minimise delays.
**Responsibilities**
- Plan and prioritise operations to optimise orders in accordance with demand and available resources, ensuring maximum performance and minimise delays.
- Responsible for the creation of purchase orders for stocks, based on company’s production schedules and inventory levels maintained.
- In charge of reviewing the company’s stock inventories reports by working with the warehouse team on the necessary inventory planning.
- Maintaining the required inventory levels, including much inventory should be kept on hand and anticipating potential shortages.
- Closely coordinate with Procurement on the required raw materials and hardware to ensure on schedule manufacturing starts.
- Coordinate production workflow for multiple products according to product cycle time and plant capacity to meet planned manufacturing completion date and customer request date.
- Monitor respective work sections to ensure they are on schedule and address any issues with respective work section owners. Assists and coordinates the review of finished Production Orders at these work sections and ensure timely updates.
- Support production and liaise with Customer Service for product movement control, customer purchase order and daily deliveries.
- Responsible for generating and implementing of procedures for all planning related such as Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Ensure production operation meet the company’s quality policy and objective and comply to customer requirement.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Diploma and above in relevant fields of Engineering / Supply Chain Management (Relevant working experience will be considered as well)
- 5 - 10 years’ experience in demand / supply planning, raw material planning and production planning.
- Related experience in manufacturing is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
- Sense of urgency, able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Results-oriented, confident and resourceful.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
