Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience in distributed systems, scaling systems, and mobile focus.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience creating, executing, and delivering against competing features and driving business impact.
- Experience operating within and leading cross-functional teams (e.g., product management, implementation, legal, finance, marketing, etc.).
- Experience working with partners and developing relationships, in mobile/telephony products and managing diverse teams and globally distributed teams.
- Ability to represent business or technical concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for leadership within mobile, telephony technology, or platform development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Grow and foster a diverse and mission driven engineering team to solve problems for users.
- Scale teams based on key market and customer insights, provide Engineering leadership and represent the team's capabilities.
- Solve the technical challenges involved in addressing device constraints. Engage with C-Level executives with our Android partners.
- Align core functions around Google with executive leadership (e.g., Marketing, Partner Engineering, Business Development, Engineering, etc.).
- Build out an identity for a team to support engagement model with our original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) on the product and engineering side. Work with Product Managers, UX team, external partners, and third-party developers.
