
Smart Recovery Effectiveness Manager

The Smart Recovery Effectiveness Manager (SREM) will be a resource for support, strategy execution and territory growth within the Critical Care Smart Recovery Portfolio. Through one-on-one development with individual field force team members and hospital accounts, they will be tasked with expanding the portfolio footprint, adding value to field force effectiveness, and engaging with all levels of hospital stakeholders.
- As this role is a first of its kind, the position will require flexibility at the direction of the Business Unit Director (BUD) which may include extensive travel and an expectation of living within the region.
- In partnership with each of the Sale Managers, the incumbent provides technical, educational, and clinical support to medical practitioners.
- This role is pivotal in accessing clients and the products needs for training and development, competency, and advocacy for Edwards Lifesciences. It will also support the marketing and sales initiatives for the business unit.
- This will be in line with the clinician's key performance indicators such as patient care, product efficacy and early adoption of techniques and therapies.
- The incumbent will be responsible for the development of targeted therapies/technologies in at least one direct country and one distributor managed country to begin with, with a scope of expanding as directed by BU Director.
- This role will require the incumbent to assess current awareness level and work with ground-based team on respective playbook to lead from the front and execute on a plan relevant for that country. The SREM will work with the team on the front line to generate momentum and enable the team to amplify the plan while the SREM moves on to the next city/market to execute on that plan.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Targeted Smart Recovery Therapies adoption.
- Assist the BUD in strategy development to expand Smart Recovery reach.
- Drive strategy execution from the BUD through SE Asia.
- Focus on specific critical care technologies from the Smart Recovery portfolio.
- Provide sales effectiveness assistance for field force team members at the direction of their line managers.
- Evaluate and Educate with the goal of user independence (“Teach to Fish”).
- Train Super users via classroom education, simulation, and case support with the goal of adoption.
- Advocate for the continuum of care (OR to ICU).
- Identify the “right technology for the right patients” especially in Cardiac cases.
- Delivering territory ESR targets.
- Education & development of KOLs.
- Works with the Sales Team to plan and develop product trial and implementation programs for newly obtained business.
- Is familiar with key clinical papers and results and is able to leverage clinical papers/data to assist in the sells process to educate to educate and help deliver an innovative solution to the customer.
- Identify business opportunities and communicates these to the Sales & Business Manager.
- Develops value-added sales strategies that align with customer needs.
- Provides other related duties as lawfully requested.

- High level of product & clinical knowledge.
- Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel on technical matters which relate to our products.
- Conduct and/coordinate:
- One on one training sessions
- In-servicing programs
- Seminars and/or symposiums
- Train the trainer sessions so hospital staff are enabled to safely and within product brief able to use our product/s.
- Develop/maintain relationships with KOLs and center of excellence to promote Edwards’ leading position in the market and broaden and enhance the current list of KOL’s within the assigned territory.
- In-service with the goal of site independence.
- Train on new Time in Target software that allows customers to measure.
- Identify and take action on capital equipment with no or low utilization to increase ratios.
- Create and coordinate presentation/publication of key findings at relevant forums/media.
- Appropriately select and use clinical data and literature to assist with selling solution/s to customer/s.
- Drive and support ESR cases.
- Provides technical support and follow-ups in hospitals.
- Provides support in key strategic accounts with assisting ESR case set-up.
- Provides on-call support as needed.
- External/Internal Relationships:
- Works with Sales Team to develop tactical and ethical plans to address competitor pressures.
- Establishes, facilitates and maintains business relationships with KOLs.
- Developing KOLs, key Edwards’s personnel and management of relationships.
- Has developing to solid, productive and stable internal relations and will leverage on the internal relations to assist in achieving goals.
- Shares relevant information with management and peers (i.e. Competitor activities being observed in the territory, competitor advances and where known competitor strategy).
