The Automation & Monitoring team seeks to enhance M1’s transformation journey by driving for IT operations excellence through developing innovative solutions to automate and optimize M1’s IT operations and drive proactive end-to-end monitoring of M1’s IT operations. This includes focus areas such as championing monitoring process and architecture operational improvement and identifying, drive and implement automation related capabilities within M1 IT systems and business operations.

We are looking for an experienced leader to join us in this exciting journey. The role will helm the Automation & Monitoring team, which had been setup as a Centre-of-Excellence for both Automation and Monitoring.

Being part of M1’s digital transformation initiative, the role will focus on maximizing the potential of M1’s new IT Ecosystem by enabling seamless operations of M1’s businesses.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ability to identify opportunities to transform and drive changes to realize IT Operation’s vision of AIOps (simplify, automate, self-service).
- Owns M1’s automation and monitoring vision.
- Be the champion of process and operational architecture excellence and evangelize new approaches which will help to continuously improve and optimize M1’s IT platform and operations.
- Ensure that we are constantly across the latest automation and monitoring innovations and technology trends.
- Organize and lead the team to ensure the division is impactful and that resources are allocated effectively
- Acts as a mentor to the team and coach them in their career development.

- Lead and champion for IT architecture performance and operational excellence.
- Establishes quantifiable KPIs to measure success/ROI and tracks system and monitoring performance.
- Build expertise on M1’s new digital telco platform ecosystem, capable of influencing the development of the platform.
- Drive fault isolation and root cause analysis, reducing MTTD (Mean Time to Detect) and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair).
- Support day-to-day production platforms incident management operations, ensuring high availability and system performances.
- Automation_
- Drive automation excellence and evangelize new approaches which will help to derive value from resources, time, efficiency and cost savings.
- Establishes quantifiable KPIs to measure success/ROI and tracks automation benefit realization
- Collaboration with stakeholders across IT, engineering and business teams to understand evolution of Digital platform and how automation can continue to maximise value from digital platform.
- Drive to optimize our customers’ experience across the whole customer lifecycle by focusing on automation related capabilities.
- Sets M1 wide automation standards and best practices.

***Key Qualifications**:

- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT architecture, development or operations related roles.
- Proven track record of operational process change and improvement management.
- Proven track record in deployment of successful automation projects.
- Ability to lead and drive automation and monitoring related discussions with senior management.
- Strong ability to understand and articulate both technical and business requirements.
- Good understanding of machine learning algorithms and deep learning would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and development skills.
- The ability to take responsibility and stay focused on objectives with a can-do-attitude.
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills to interact and collaborate effectively.
- Strong passion for innovation, broad knowledge of technology.
