Singapore IGNITION GLOBAL CONSULTING PTE. LTD. Full time

Due to business growth an international ship broking business with an established team are looking to hire a Maritime graduate trainee to work in their Tanker Operations and Ship Broking teams.

In this position you will be:

- Working with experienced team of Brokers and Operators
- Responsible for post fixture operations for the tanker desk
- Communicating and coordinating with ship owners and charterers
- Handling invoicing, claims etc
- Learning about the international tanker shipping business

For the right person who is interested in becoming a Ship Broker there is potential to move in to this role after gaining 3 to 6 months experience in Operations.

The ideal person for this role will be:

- Recent Maritime Studies Degree graduate
- Some previous work experience or internships in the shipping industry
- Good communicator and keen to learn
- Fluency in Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia would be beneficial as you will be working with customers based in China and Indonesia
- As shipping is a 24 hour a day industry there will sometimes be work outside of normal office hours, so you should be comfortable with this

You will be joining a small and friendly team with an excellent work environment and have the opportunity to learn from some very good and experienced senior people.
