Senior Creative Executive, Southeast Asia

Bachelor's degree and/or graduate degree or applicable experience
- 7+ years of successful development experience, in film and/or series.
- Experience managing premium series and/or film productions in Southeast Asia
- A proven record of accomplishment for driving high performance teams and growth within a world-class content company across multiple genres.
- Extensive working knowledge of the Southeast Asia creative landscape, including deep knowledge of and relationships with local screenwriters, authors, producers, directors, crew, actors, and other artists

Amazon Studios is the movies and television development and production arm of Amazon. It is our role to produce original content and license studio programs worldwide in exclusive service of Amazon’s Prime Video customers. Amazon Studios APAC is looking for a Senior Creative Executive in Singapore to report to the Head of Originals, Expansion Territories. This executive will be responsible for supporting the ongoing growth of Amazon PV in APAC through developing a compelling Local Originals slate, working hand in hand with the Head of Originals Expansion to further our ambitions in the region, and become the preeminent destination for Creators and Talent. We are looking for a creative leader with the proven ability to cultivate impactful relationships with talent and producing partners; who thinks big about promising projects for development; solve day-to-day creative and production problems through launch; as well as provide advice to Amazon leaders on issues relevant to setting up creative operations locally.

They will also require a persuasive, clear and professional verbal and written communication style and an ability to make significant contributions to strategic documents. They must be a visionary thinker, with the confidence to both advocate ideas and collaborate in a highly pressured environment, with the ability to problem solve on a daily basis without supervision and manage the ambiguity that is the nature of creative production.

**Responsibilities**:

- Act as a principal contributor to our Local Originals creative strategy in SE Asia.
- Programmatic oversight of discrete development initiatives that span multiple projects or countries.
- Seek out and assess proposals, scripts, and pitches for film and TV projects across all genres.
- Recruit top level creative talent.
- Work with writers to develop stories and scripts.
- Oversee all creative aspects of development, production and post-production for a slate of productions.
- Serve as primary Creative liaison internally at Amazon and externally with Creators and Talent.
- 10+ years of successful development experience, in film and series, with all or a significant portion of that experience based in-territory in Southeast Asia
- Experience working at a premium television network or a world-class production company
- Extensive experience managing film and television development and production and ability to shepherd a project from idea to launch
- Excellent story skills and ability to provide creative feedback to Creators and Talent that results in a finished product of bar-raising quality
- A track record of attracting projects and Creators with the ability to entertain large audiences
- A demonstrated pattern of outside-the-box innovation at both a micro and macro level.
- Familiarity with SVOD or OTT video services.
- Experience delivering against a large organization’s long-term strategy and goals
- Fluency in non-English and/or indigenous languages spoken by creative talent and audiences in Southeast Asia
