**Job Description**:
The Portfolio Management Team

The Portfolio Management team is responsible for the implementation of Dimensional’s investment philosophy. Portfolios are structured to target sources of higher expected return that have been identified and vetted by academia and Dimensional’s research team.

The Opportunity

As an Associate Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of managing portfolios, starting as support for Portfolio Managers and working towards independently managing portfolios. This includes identifying buys and sells in a systematic manner and partnering with trading teams globally to implement those decisions. This position requires fluent spoken and written Korean and English language communication skills, as the Associate Portfolio Manager will support investment conversations with existing and prospective clients and may be required to assist with investment stewardship conversations with companies in Korea.

Because of the unique nature of Dimensional’s investment philosophy and process, new members of the portfolio management team go through an extensive training program on our portfolios and systems for the first several months. **Responsibilities**:

- Issuing buy and sell trades
- Monitor portfolio characteristics and portfolio structure
- Manage foreign currency
- Elect on corporate actions
- Evaluate security eligibility for portfolios
- Identify areas of improvement in the investment process and propose solutions
- Collaborate across business functions and teams
- Present to existing and prospective clients in English and Korean
- Potential to lead engagement calls with portfolio companies in Korean

Requirements / Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree and/or CFA preferred.
- 5 years or more of total professional experience, ideally in a field requiring work with large data sets, conducting investment conversations, or both.
- Experience in SQL or any statistical programming language (or willingness to learn such).
- Must be fluent in Korean.
- Strong understanding of and alignment with Dimensional’s investment philosophy and strategy design
- Strong time management and project management skills
- High attention to detail and excellent work quality
- Experience with analyzing and interpreting large data sets
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent quantitative problem-solving and analytical skills
- Intellectual curiosity
- Track record of success in a team-based environment
- Knowledge of finance and financial theory and broad interest in the financial markets
