The Derivatives Credit Officer is a member of the Derivatives Competence Centre, which is part of Credit Risk Asia. The role is based in Singapore and covers clients from South-East Asia and Greater China (mainly individual private accounts, investment vehicles and some funds and corporates). The Derivatives Credit Officer is a Credit Risk Specialist for clients actively trading derivatives.

Besides the specialized Credit Officer Function, the Derivatives Credit Officer also supports the methodology team when it comes to lending value assessment and projects. The Credit Officer furthermore acts as the knowledge centre within Credit Asia when it comes to derivatives and product credit and market risks.

The Derivatives team is acting as interface to the trading desk and the Relationship Manager when it comes to Credit Risk and Derivatives. The team is responsible for a portfolio of projects to improve the Credit Risk Methodology and the Credit Risk System Architecture in close collaboration with the HQ in Switzerland and the different stakeholders in the Region.

**YOUR CHALLENGE**:
**Core Responsibilities**
- Pro-actively structure and manage credit risk of a portfolio of large and/or complex trading clients (ETD and OTC trading on FX, Equities and Rates)
- Handling of daily credit risk management tasks (risk identification & mitigation, setting /calculating/verifying margin requirements, margin shortfalls and limit excess handling, intraday monitoring of FX trading clients)
- Preparation of comprehensive, analytical and detailed credit requests for new credit transactions, amendments and annual reviews
- Enforce delegated credit authority for approval of credit transactions
- Work with legal and external counsel to draft non-standard credit documents
- Give ad-hoc approvals for trade requests and advise on complex and large derivatives portfolios (client-specific margin requirements, monitoring solutions, recognition and netting of structures and option trading strategies etc.)
- Acting as Centre of Competence for Derivatives product know-how, margining concepts, margining systems and other trading related questions
- Provide Management tools and support for the derivatives portfolio & trading activities across all Asian clients and perform exposure/collateral analysis with respect to concentration in issuers, sectors or certain financial instruments as well as ad-hoc risk analysis. Conduct forward looking risk management by analysing economic trends and their impact on client’s credit exposure both on client as well as overall credit portfolio level
- Help to drive the development of the overall Credit Risk framework in particular in regards to Derivatives and Lending Value Methodologies
- Provide / arrange trainings to Relationship Managers and Product Specialists as well as Credit Officers

**Professional and Technical**
- Senior Credit Officer with sound credit knowhow and in depth knowledge of Derivatives and different types of Collateral and their risk driver. Able to structure, execute and manage large and/or complex credit transactions by coordinating among risk functions and front.
- University degree preferably in Economics, Finance or Banking
- Strong quantitative background, preferably CFA or FRM Charter holder
- Strong analytical skills
- Able to manage a portfolio of projects besides daily business as a Derivatives Credit Officer
- Ability to take quick, independent credit decisions under pressure and in close collaboration with Traders and RMs
- Understanding of Wealth Management Industry and Asian Markets/Clients
- Previous experience with FX Trading / Margin systems (preferably Margin Man and/or Murex)
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft, VBA, SQL, Access, Bloomberg etc.)
