**Key Responsibilities**:
In this regional role within the FCOA AML FI Advisory Team, you will be responsible for supporting, liaising/co-ordinating with the Country Financial Crimes Teams on regular basis and support key FCC initiatives to uplift the Global Financial Crimes Compliance Program for Financial Institutions (FI) customer segment in Asia.

You are responsible for:

- Providing advice to First line of Business, Country Financial Crimes team and/or KYC Operations Unit to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements in Asia and internal FCC policies and procedures with respect to FIs
- Reviewing FI Enhanced Due Diligence (FI EDD) escalations for onboarding and periodic reviews of prospective and existing higher-risk FI clients to identify issues presenting potential legal, regulatory, AML, sanctions, or reputational risk, primarily utilizing publicly available data sources, vendor reports and reviewing client KYC documentation
- Updating, drafting, and implementing applicable Internal procedures to comply with the Global FI Standards, including the Country KYC/ CDD procedures
- Supporting any ad hoc project uplift/implementation of First Line of Defence or FCC initiatives in Asia relating to FI customers, including but limited to KYC system implementation and/or business centralization efforts.
- Interacting within wider FCC and other Business Units for the implementation of policies and procedures; execute oversight function to monitor; and provide training to employees
- Proactive management of client escalations, issues and other items that require special handling related to KYC record completions
- Managing/attending various Country, Regional or Global working groups or forums that monitor and provide oversight to key AML risk relating to FIs

**Skills and Experience**:

- Sound understanding of financial crime risk in banking or financial services industry and a general understanding of the working practices with AML
- Sound Knowledge in FCC regulations including AML, KYC/CDD Compliance and Correspondent Banking
- Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization including front office individuals, skilled at diplomatically breaking down barriers and obstacles
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, and experience in external database searches, such as World Check and Factiva
- Industry related certification (e.g., CAMS or ICA Diploma) will be an added advantage
