Product Development and Quotes: Ensure high quality and client centric support to Client Managers in product development, quotes and client requests relating to all areas of Underwriting. Provide innovative problem solving to underwriting issues and referral processes.
- Deep understanding of SEA’s market and client strategies and support its executions by
- Ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality and client centric underwriting services for the SEA clients.
- Driving innovation in operational process and customer solutions by engaging in strategic underwriting projects with our clients.
- Participate in UW & Claims Global community in strategic projects.
- Lead and coach team of SEA underwriters to grow their underwriting expertise.
- **To participate in SCOR Global Life’s Underwriting and Claims community to share and discuss trends and emerging issues in Underwriting and Claims and identify best practices for potential use in SEA with our clients.**
- **Be a People Leader**
- Identify, coach and grow talents for SCOR, support and promote their career developments within SCOR.
- Other managerial duties e.g. ADIs, providing feedbacks, hiring etc.
- **To lead underwriting risk management functions for the SEA markets in terms of the following activities**:

- Implement SGL's underwriting policy and principles as well as to ensure risks assumed on a technically sound and profitable basis.
- Provide Product Development and quote support from an underwriting perspective.
- To assist and support the Chief Medical Officer of SEA in UW and Claims quality assurance reviews and operational due diligence exercises.
- To provide underwriting trainings to clients.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 10 years of relevant insurance/reinsurance industry experience of which at least 4 years within South East Asia markets, in medical and financial underwriting
- Some claim assessments experience is preferred.
- Expert knowledge of Life and Health Insurance products.
- Very good understanding of the need to integrate key stakeholders’ interests in the product design phase and its affordability requirement as well as the need to balance among profitability, risk management and marketability.
- Good knowledge of reinsurance treaty wordings and its corresponding link with the quotation slip and the risk management requirements.

**Managerial competences (if applicable)**:

- Lead, coach and train junior underwriter(s).
- Ability to provide clear concise feedbacks and create a feedback rich environment.

**Required **Education**
- ALU, CII, LOMA, CLU and other relevant professional qualifications or designations required.
- Life Science related basic degrees / Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or Doctor of Medicine (MD)
