**The Opportunity**:
We are looking for Senior / Staff Nurse (Respiratory Care Nurse) to join us to provide high quality patient care.
**Responsibilities**:
The incumbent shall be responsible to:
- Provide clinical support to the Respiratory services through counseling of Asthma, COPD patients and their families with regard to the diagnosis, treatment and expected outcomes
- Empower and educate patients towards self-care for Respiratory conditions through patient education and tools.
- To provide advice and assistance to Asthma / COPD patients via telephone follow up to assess their progress and address any related issues
- Function as a clinical resource person to the Nurses on respiratory clinical nursing and nursing training matters and issues related to the specialty
- Provide support and be contactable during office hours and offer assistance to inpatient and outpatient enquiries
- Collaborate with team doctors and allied health staff to provide continuum of care. Ensure patient’s successful transition into the outpatient and community care.
- Collect data on the clinical outcomes of patients managed under the Asthma/COPD programs. Provide the data to NHG HQ/ MOH
- Actively involved during the monthly COPD multidisciplinary meetings. To highlight issues pertaining to patients with specific issues.
- Help to organize and participate in Asthma/COPD activities eg. GP assistants and nurses training workshops, Public forum on Asthma/COPD, World Asthma/COPD day events.
- Attend external meetings for Asthma/COPD related matters
**Job Requirements**:
- Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of clinical experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literacy skills
