**Research Assistant**:

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) is looking for a Research Assistant (RA) who has background in coding, material characterisation and CNC knitting technology. The RA will work with Associate Professor Huang Shaoying from EPD and Assistant Professor Kenneth Tracy from ASD, SUTD.

**Responsibilities**:

- CNC knitting of fabrics using unconventional yarns/wires;
- Material characterisation of knitted fabrics;
- Design connection details between knitted fabrics and external components.

**Prerequisites**
- Able to operate a Shima Seiki knitting machine and SDS-One KnitPaint software with a minimum of one year of experience;
- Able to design fabrics based on multi-material additive manufacturing principles;
- Proficient in coding (preferably C#, Python, and Java);
- Proficient in CAD software (preferably Rhino, Grasshopper);
- Experience in working in multidisciplinary teams.
