We’re hiring an experienced Staff Data Scientist to be the technical lead for our Growth Analytics team. You will partner with Growth, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to identify opportunities, optimize strategies, and unlock scalable growth using data analytics.
**What You'll Do**- Operate as the technical partner to Growth, Marketing, Sales and Data Science leaders to define and implement Airwallex’s growth strategy-
- Establish insight-driven approaches to address key business problems and drive business impact- Build scalable measurement frameworks that enable consistent, data-driven decision-making across teams and inform growth strategy- Clearly and persuasively communicate data insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring findings influence stakeholders- Translate open-ended business problems into clearly defined data science initiatives for the team to implement- Mentor and coach junior data scientists, and act as the single-threaded technical owner on cross-functional initiatives
**Qualifications**- 7+ years industry experience and a degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, Computer Science, Economics). Advanced degree (PhD or MS) preferred- Proven experience mentoring or leading data science or data analytics teams- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to influence strategy in high-growth environments-
- Strong skills in SQL and Python/R; experience with data modeling a plus- Experience in technology, financial services and/or a high growth environment is advantageous
