The Product Strategy & Development team forms part of the JPMAM business. The team is responsible for the design, development, and management of JPMAM’s product range to drive the firm’s strategic growth agenda. To shape and position the product range, the team also provides comprehensive research on product trends, thought leadership and competitive differentiation of JPMAM’s investment capabilities. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join and work with our team in Singapore.
Objectives include:
- Drive and support JPMAM’s strategic agenda for growth and market-share capture by providing timely competitive intelligence on flows, asset growth, product trends and performance tracking
- Deliver product sales ideas which take into account current industry trends and competitive opportunities
- Provide a systematic approach to profile top opportunities, accelerating the sales cycle around closing of new business and cross-selling products to existing relationships
**Position Overview**:
The Product Strategy Associate will be responsible for developing and executing a platform to effectively drive the product positioning and messaging agenda across all communication mediums.
The individual will collaborate regionally with distribution teams, portfolio managers and marketing to provide competitive intelligence and influence decisions.
**Responsibilities**:
Craft and deliver concise messaging and sales ideas for JPMAM product line
- Coordinate Focus Fund review across investment and distribution teams
- Conduct product updates/positioning calls both internally and externally
- Develop in-depth relationships with the sales teams in the various markets we operate, working with the Client Advisors to influence product conversations
- Monitor and identify product placement opportunities with key regional accounts in partnership with the Global Strategic Relationships team
- Participate in product innovation and rationalization efforts
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration or other related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of financial services experience, with a significant focus in product management, analysis, and strategy
- Strong communicator with demonstrated ability to influence and gain senior management buy-in on key initiatives
- Leadership, influence, analytical, communication, project management and cross-organization collaboration skills required
- Alongside fluent English, business fluent verbal and written Mandarin Chinese language skills are preferred as the job holder will frequently interact Chinese speaking counterparts
- CFA and/or CAIA preferred
- Proficiency in Morningstar Direct and eVestment Analytics will be a plus
