[What the role is]
DEPUTY MANAGER, OPERATIONS POLICY AND STRATEGY
[What you will be working on]
You will be part of the Operations Policy and Strategy (OP&S) team who take holistic view of policy and strategy for the operations in Traffic Road Operation (TRO) group. TRO group uses various ICT and IoT systems to manage traffic on the roads, maintain road assets in good condition and ensure road users have good conduct on the roads. Your role is to ensure successful implementation of these systems that address TRO users’ needs. This includes understanding users’ needs/pain points and use technology and science to make their work efficient and effective. You need work closely with LTA’s Tech team and Operation teams to assess different solutions, analyse the impacts to operations and recommend the best one for implementation. You shall also support funding process, translate users’ needs into user specification, ensure the deliverables match to users’ needs, and prioritise the implements and think out of box for users’ change requests. You are responsible for technology horizon-scanning, which includes assessing and identifying suitable emerging technologies to enable more effective and efficient policy and strategy. You shall facilitate operational use of data and collaborate with the various stakeholders, such as technical engineers, users and vendors, to address and resolve data-related issues.
[What we are looking for]
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering with at least 5 years work experience
- At least complete one ICT project life cycle
- Experience in or good knowledge of the following will be an added advantage:
- Traffic management and/or assets maintenance
- Project management for Intelligent Transport System (ITS)
- Traffic Engineering
- Good writing, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills;
- Possess strong problem-solving ability
- Self-motivated, adaptable & possess strong sense of responsibility;
- Able to work independently and a good team player;
