As part of our strategy, EDS expanded into ecommerce and omni-channel solutions to serve the corporate sector through our initiative in Strategic Business Unit (SBU).

**Optimisation For Web and Ecommerce Platforms Intern
**Job Description**:

- Analyse traffic and keywords on search engines (Google, BING, Yahoo, Baidu, etc..)
- Perform in-app optimisation on emarketplaces, e.g. Shopee, Lazada, etc..
- Conduct frontend and backend activities on ecommerce engine, e.g. Shopify
- Support in upload product listings, curate, optimise UX and UI across platforms by managers and team leaders
- Observe & analyse trends to regularly provide insightful and actionable data
- Review and analyse sites, conduct basic competitive analyses, keyword research, organic ranking, tracking, and web monitoring
- Collaborate with teammates to complement and enhance customer service and overall marketing campaign performance
- Stay abreast on SEO related news and updates, Google’s algorithm updates (amongst other engines where necessary), and optimisation strategies
- Recommend changes to website architecture, content, internal/external backlinks, and other factors to constantly improve optimisation positions for target keywords and increase organic traffic growth
- Set parameters of digital marketing where necessary
- Maintain and update of records, where necessary
- Neat and tidy in work process and flow

Job Requirement
- Comfortable with using technologies, social media platforms like Instagram, Tik Tok, WhatsApp, WeChat, live chat apps
- Basic knowledge in emarketplaces, such as Amazon, Shopee and Lazada and their respective process flows
- Knowledge of ecommerce engines, e.g. Shopify, WooCommerce, WIX are advantageous
- Basic analytical understanding and data visualisation techniques
- Teachable, a problem solver, and able to handle multiple priorities
- Self-starter, ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, must collaborate well with others
- Possesses good work ethics and teamwork
- Proficient in MS Office 365 and Google e.g., Excel Sheets, Word Documents & PowerPoint Presentations
- HTML/CSS knowledge are advantageous
- Familiar with SEM and SMM an advantage
- Able to create relevant, engaging, and effective content and/or editing for websites, services, meta page descriptions, blogs, etc. are advantageous
