**Position Overview**:
The Canteen Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the university canteen kitchen. **(Halal)**

**Job Summary**:
The Canteen Service Assistant plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment in the university canteen. This position involves assisting in food preparation, serving meals, handling cash transactions, and ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation**:Assist in the preparation of meals, snacks, and beverages according to the menu and recipes.
Ensure all food items are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality and safety standards.
Portion and package food items for serving or storage.
- **Cleaning and Sanitation**:Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Follow proper sanitation procedures to ensure a hygienic environment.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment as needed.
- **Customer Service**:Serve food to students, faculty, and staff in a friendly and efficient manner.
Address customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
Ensure the dining area is clean and well-stocked.

**Qualifications**:

- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
