Production Technician

**Job Description**:
General Function:
'- Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Engineer or designee, is responsible to work on production assignments (include complex in nature). Normally receives instruction on routine work and on new assignments. Analyzes and evaluates charts and follows testing, inspection and operation procedures. Perform and support preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and problem solve in areas on set up, operation, and processes of sensor equipment and plastic bottle lines. Follows QSR, ISO and Safety Regulations.
- Notifies/Assists engineering technicians and Equipment/Automation Engineers of equipment malfunctions. Communicates issues to Manufacturing Engineer and related personnel.
- Provide support in machine enhancement, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of equipment, project execution, accountability on Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost, as well as the overall technicians resource management in production.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Sets up and operates sensor equipment and/or plastic bottles automatic filling line in accordance with approved procedures and safety regulations. Monitor quality of products to ensure production quality.

2. Makes machine adjustments as necessary during manufacturing to assure production yield and product quality.

3. Resupplies raw materials to machine according to required frequency.

4. Perform simple mechanical troubleshoot and problem solving in areas of set-up, operation and process for sensor equipment and/or plastic bottles automatic filling line.

5. Maintains machinery and area in a clean and orderly manner in accordance with QSR and department policies.

6.Provide support to Maintenance Technician in the event of a major machine breakdown.

7. Meets daily production goals and work extended shifts as necessary to satisfy customer demand.

8.Maintain and complete neat and accurate batch control records, logs, manufacturing documentation and processes production orders in SAP.

9.Perform cleaning and housekeeping in the area as per procedures.

10.Trains operators pertaining to production processes and proper use of equipment as required.

11. Must possess the ability to train operators in operation/simple adjustments of the equipment in the area.

12. Notify Technical Specialist or Manufacturing Engineer of any deviation from normal operation. Assist and perform in trouble-shooting in the areas.

13.Safety and ISO14001 Environmental accountability. Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally-friendly workplace by observing Company’s rules and procedures. Active involvement in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards and participation in activities which promotes recycling, replacement and reduction of resource materials.

14.Safety & health accountability: Safety and health are important to BD and we encourage the observance of all safety programs and training assigned to you. Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance to our safety guidelines and SOPs.

15.Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) accountability: Observing GMP rules and procedures.

16. Observe BD Code of Ethics.

17. Participate in continuous improvement initiative / activities.

18. Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Knowledge & Experience

1. Nitec in Science or Engineering Disciplines

2. Good knowledge in GMPs

3. Experience in the laboratory or clean room manufacturing operation within the Food/ Pharma / Chemicals / Biologics / Flavor / Beverage Industry

4.Good communication & coaching skills

5. Ability and willingness to work any shift in support of operations that may include 24/7

6. Will work holidays and overtime as required

7. May be required to adjust work schedule to meet production demands
