UWCSEA Dover has a vacancy for a Part-Time Teacher of Japanese for our Home Languages Programme(HLP) to start from April 2 025

The Home Languages Programme is for students who want to maintain a language spoken at home but who do not study this language as part of the academic curriculum during the school day at appropriate level. This programme offers students the opportunity to gain cultural understanding of the language, as well as improve their linguistic skills to gain age appropriate fluency in their home language.

The students’ ages are from 4 to 1 6 y ea rs o l d. Classes are taught in small groups of 3 to 6 students of similar a g es and linguistic levels and will take place after school (or at lunchtime for some younger students).

**Main Responsibilities**
- Plan, prepare and teach classes as required.
- Exhibit good classroom management skills.
- Use digital resources to enhance students’ learning.
- Provide samples of students’ learning in the school online learning platform for parents to follow students’ progress.
- Provide feedback to parents
- Collaborate with the other teachers of the Japanese Language Department in developing a Japa nese Language Curriculum.
