**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and involve in preparation of reagents, lens monomer, monomer or LCP premix, saline solution or other solution according to SOP
- Manage and perform testing or analysis on contact lens, LCP solution, monomers, monomer or LCP premix, reagents or saline that are produced in R&D
- Manage and perform testing in R&D laboratory such as oxygen permeability, surface tension and tensile strength measurements according to SOP and actively develop and validate new testing procedures if required
- Manage, perform and upkeep the cleanliness of laboratory before and after testing. Follow Good Laboratory Practice. Manage and maintain all documents and records
- Manage and upkeep laboratory consumables and equipment maintenance/ housekeeping
- Manage and perform shelf life stability study of new products that includes preparation of stability protocol, sample preparation, coordinates internal and external testing and produce stability reports
- Manage and perform incoming inspection for new batches of raw materials monitored by R&D department and record and monitor the inventory for these materials
- To source and interact with external suppliers for raw materials or lab/ office supplies and manage all R&D procurement activities such as preparation of purchase requisites
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as and when assigned

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Diploma in Chemistry / Biomedical Science/ Biochemistry or equivalent.
- At least 1 Year(s) of working experience preferably in soft contact lens manufacturing.
- Knowledge in Organic Chemistry and Polymer Chemistry
- Strong analytical testing skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be able to thrive in rapidly changing environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to manage in unstructured situations with innovative and creative
