Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate Social Worker to join our Gambling Addiction Recovery Support team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support, guidance, and counseling to individuals struggling with gambling addiction, helping them regain control of their lives. You will play a vital role in creating personalised recovery plans, facilitating support groups, and connecting clients with necessary community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalised recovery plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to clients and their families.
- Educate clients on recovery plan and available resources.
- Coordinate with community services, healthcare providers, and financial/legal advisors.
- Facilitate weekly support groups and workshops.
- Monitor clients’ progress and maintain accurate documentation.Offer crisis intervention and immediate support in emergencies.
Requirements:
- At least 5-8 years' full-time working experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills.
- Empathy and a non-judgmental approach to care.
