Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Tax Accountant & FP&A Analyst to join our team in Singapore. This dual-role position offers a unique opportunity to combine expertise in tax compliance with financial planning and analysis (FP&A). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance and reporting, while also providing actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tax Compliance and Reporting

  • Prepare and file corporate tax returns, GST submissions, and other tax-related documents in compliance with Singapore’s tax regulations.
  • Manage and oversee withholding tax calculations and submissions.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring timely updates to internal policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors to address queries and audits.
  • Perform transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with international tax regulations.

2. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual and forecasted financial results, providing insights to management.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports with key financial metrics.
  • Analyze trends, risks, and opportunities to inform business strategy and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with organizational objectives.

3. Internal Controls and Compliance

  • Ensure robust internal controls are in place for tax and financial reporting processes.
  • Support compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
  • Conduct regular reviews of financial and tax processes to identify efficiency improvements.

4. Financial Reporting Support

  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations related to tax and FP&A.
  • Work with external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting and/or financial planning and analysis, preferably in Singapore.
    Strong understanding of Singapore tax laws, GST regulations, and corporate tax compliance.
  • Skills: Proficient in accounting and financial software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
    Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial insights to stakeholders.
    Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
