Global Payroll Technologies Pte Ltd – Bugis Overview We are looking for a skilled MS SQL and MySQL Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain databases across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL programming and performance tuning experience, with the ability to support both Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL/MariaDB environments. You will work closely with application developers to ensure database efficiency, scalability, and data integrity. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases (MS SQL and MySQL/MariaDB). Create and optimize complex stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions. Implement data models, normalization, indexing, and partitioning for optimal performance. Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning and query optimization. Perform regular database maintenance, including backup, restore, and security management. Collaborate with developers to integrate SQL queries with PHP/.NET or other application layers. Support migration and synchronization processes between MS SQL and MySQL environments. Manage database version control and deployment using tools such as Flyway or Bytebase. Troubleshoot database issues, ensure data consistency, and implement high-availability solutions. Assist in designing database structures for new modules or applications. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 3–7 years of hands-on experience in both MS SQL Server and MySQL/MariaDB database development. Proficiency in T-SQL and PL/SQL scripting. Experience with database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies. Strong knowledge of relational database design and normalization principles. Familiarity with replication, clustering, or high-availability configurations. Experience with data migration tools or ETL processes is a plus. Understanding of stored procedures in integration with PHP, Python, or .NET applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Preferred Skills Experience with MariaDB 10+ and MS SQL Server 2019+. Exposure to JSON, REST APIs, and database-driven web applications. Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, database version control, and CI/CD workflows.
