Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Senior AP Accountant, this position will assist the Accounts Payable (AP) function in the day-to-day activities. This involves transactional processing of invoices, payments, following up on outstanding issues in the schedules and validating entries in the accounting system.
Key Responsibilities / Job Accountabilities (1 year contract)
Ensure suppliers’ invoices are approved in accordance to payment mandate.
Ensure invoices are posted and validated in the accounting system in an accurate and timely manner.
Liaise with internal customers to ensure accurate invoice, payment posting in the accounting system.
Assist in preparation of payment to ensure that the correct payments are made.
Assist in netting off any related prepaid amount against invoice and deriving the correct amount due.
Reconcile vendors’ statement of accounts to accounting records and completeness of interfaced data.
Review AP reports to close out aged items in prepayments and aging report.
Qualifications
Minimum Diploma in Accounting.
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
Meticulous, responsive and results oriented.
Has good working experience with Goods & Services Taxes.
Working experience with Oracle and Eye-share preferred.
