We’re seeking a motivated Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data platform infrastructure supporting our hybrid cloud environment. The role involves collaboration with database, network, infrastructure, and business teams.
Responsibilities
Data & AI Platform Operation and Support
Configure and administer data platforms, ensuring security, performance, and scalability
Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and data access
Support daily operations, issue resolution, upgrades, patches, and maintenance
Develop backup and recovery strategies
Coordinate with IT teams for system integration
Create and maintain SOP documentation
Work with systems engineering to deploy and expand environments
Collaborate with application teams on OS installations and updates
Platform Optimization, Automation & Developer Enablement
Improve automation, optimization, and developer experience
Implement new platform capabilities aligned with business needs
Optimize performance and costs
Build CI/CD pipelines for Data & AI workflows
Observability and Reliability
Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot issues
Ensure high availability and performance
Capacity planning and scaling
24/7 monitoring of server performance, connectivity, and security
Manage file systems and data quality
Governance and Compliance
Ensure smooth operations and support
Drive platform improvements and system reliability
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Minimum 10 years in platform implementation and administration, with at least 2 years in Tableau, Hadoop/Cloudera, Informatica, Dataiku, and AWS or equivalent
Experience with DevOps practices, automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and data workflows
Proficiency in monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, and SRE practices
Skills in automation, performance optimization, and developer experience enhancement
Knowledge of OS concepts, process management, networking basics, and shell scripting
