Overview
Nurse Manager / Clinician (Operating Theatre) at Tengah General and Community Hospital. This role is a dynamic leadership position responsible for overseeing nursing services within a general hospital, including the setup and operationalization of nursing services for the new hospital as part of the NUHS cluster, with readiness anticipated by the early 2030s.

Responsibilities
Provide visionary leadership to nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and development of nursing personnel, ensuring high standards of clinical competence and professionalism.
Establish clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for nursing staff; provide regular feedback and coaching.
Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and department heads to develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols and standards of care.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices in nursing, patient safety, and quality improvement.
Monitor patient outcomes, clinical indicators, and patient satisfaction to identify improvement areas and implement interventions.
Develop staffing models, schedules, and workflows to optimize patient care delivery, while maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate with supply chain to ensure availability of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals; manage nursing budgets and identify cost-containment opportunities.
Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, outcomes, and experience; conduct audits and reviews and promote evidence-based practices.
Provide orientation, training, and continuing education; offer clinical supervision and mentorship to nursing staff and promote professional development.
Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and communication to enhance care coordination and clinical outcomes.
Play a key role in the setup and operationalization of nursing services for the new hospital, including staffing plans, workflow design, and policy development.
Collaborate with architects and facility planners to integrate nursing units and infrastructure with patient-centered care models; establish inventory, equipment procurement, and infection control processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognized institution approved by the Singapore Nursing Board; post-basic qualification in the relevant nursing specialty.
Singapore Registered Nurse with at least 10 years of post-registration clinical experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisorial role.
Previous experience in nursing management or administration, preferably in a startup or expansion setting.
Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
