Job Title: Critical Care Transport Specialist
This is a key role in our Emergency and Medical Transport team. As a Critical Care Transport Specialist, you will operate our ambulances to transport patients safely and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities include managing scheduled patient transfers, hospital discharges, and responding to emergency and non-emergency cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive our ambulances to transport patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities, ensuring timely and professional service.
- Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency cases as required.
- Assist medical personnel in loading and unloading patients from the ambulance, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of the ambulance to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and operational procedures to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and the public.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, patient information, and other relevant data as required by policies.
- Provide basic assistance and support to patients as needed during transport, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills, including defensive driving, emergency response, and medical assistance.
- Take on secondary appointments or administrative duties when assigned by management.

Requirements:
- Possess a valid Class 3 driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
- Previous experience in defensive driving is highly preferred.
- Certification or experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is advantageous.
- Physically fit and capable of assisting with patient transfers.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, especially during emergency situations.
