Who we are The Global Asia Insurance Partnership (GAIP) is an innovative tripartite partnership between academia, insurance supervisors, and the insurance industry in Asia. The role We are currently looking for an Associate Director who can support our activities, primarily under GAIP’s policy think tank and talent development pillars. Key responsibilities of the Associate Director will include: Undertaking quantitative and qualitative research, analysis and preparing written materials in support of GAIP’s policy research; Supporting GAIP talent development initiatives to achieve our talent development goals; Assisting in project management of initiatives and projects where such support is required; and Providing ad hoc support to the team, on both projects and internal operations, as required. What you bring To be successful in this role, you will need: More than 5 years of experience in non-life or general insurance field; Tertiary and professional qualification in relevant fields such as actuarial, etc.; Experience in non-life insurance actuarial modelling, and/or natural catastrophe risk modelling will be preferred; Good analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and a keen sense of curiosity; Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries and to function effectively both as a member of a team and individually as required; To be a self-starter, with a demonstrated high level of initiative; Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards; and Fluency in written and oral communication in English. Additional language skills are an advantage; Also Experience in the financial services public sector (regulatory or supervisory), especially in Singapore, is an advantage; Singapore citizen or permanent resident preferred.
