Investment Insights Group We use advanced quantitative techniques and cutting-edge technological tools to generate insights that drive outstanding investment outcomes for GIC. Data Science & Innovation Team You will be part of a team of data scientists for building AI solutions to support GIC enterprise-wide users. As the Center of Excellence for AI in GIC, you will get to build advanced tools and platforms that impact all departments of GIC, including both investment and corporate functions. You will have opportunity to work in both central team or to work directly with stakeholder departments. What will you do as a Data Scientist?The data science and innovation team is looking for a data scientist with extensive experience in LLM and other machine learning or data science areas Design and implement AI workflows to solve business problems Deploy AI solutions to productions and iterate based on user feedback Independently conduct research on idea generation in the investment process and corporate function support What Qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?Formal training in quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or other quantitative discipline), and experience in utilizing those skills in an applied research environment LLM experience in industry settings is a must Strong in software engineering and best practices (e.g. code smell, single-responsibility principle, functional programming)Strong in statistical fundamentals, experience conducting hypothesis testing and sampling highly desirable, with demonstrated programming skills highly desirable Understanding of financial markets, including multi-asset research is a plus Understanding of data available in the investment management industry and experience in managing and accessing such data to support research efforts Ability to work efficiently and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. This will include end-to-end research project work under from data gathering to hypothesis testing and model implementation At least 3 years of hands-on engineering experience with software projects related to data science or machine learning Good communication skills.
