We are working with a leading financial institution undergoing a major digital and AI transformation across Asia. They are seeking a hands-on technology leader to drive architecture, engineering, and delivery for next-gen systems in their asset management business.
This isn’t a program management role — it’s for someone who leads by doing, driving complex initiatives in a startup-like environment within a well-established financial organisation.
What you’ll do
Lead architecture, design, and engineering of digital platforms with a focus on scalability, security, and performance
Oversee end-to-end implementation (not just strategy) while managing external vendors and small internal teams
Modernise legacy platforms and drive adoption of cloud-native architectures
Integrate cutting-edge technologies, including AI/ML and Generative AI, to enhance investment decision-making and operational workflows
Collaborate closely with business, investment, and compliance teams across the region
What we’re looking for
10+ years in financial software engineering, with deep hands-on technical experience (Java, Python, Go, C#, etc.)
Proven background leading engineering teams in asset management, investment banking, or capital markets
Proven commercial experience with AI implementation
Track record delivering scalable, compliant trading or investment platforms
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, data models, and multi-jurisdictional system design
A practical builder who can bridge architecture with real-world implementation
Salary and benefits
Salary up to SG$240,000 annual basic
