A seasoned print design professional with strong leadership and technical expertise, driven by the ministry’s mission to create impactful biblical resources in print that inspire and transform lives. Reporting directly to the Head of Publishing, you will lead a team of designers and work closely with the English Content Development and Print Production teams to deliver high-quality print projects. This role involves creative direction, production processes, and internal and external stakeholder collaboration, ensuring alignment with the ministry’s mission, cost efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
Responsibilities
Lead, build and guide a team of print designers.
Oversee the conceptualisation and execution of innovative print designs that align with the ministry’s mission and brand identity.
Collaborate with the Content Lead and Production Lead to ensure seamless integration of design and content for impactful print resources.
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of print projects, including planning, budgeting, stakeholder communication, and delivery.
Stay abreast of trends in print design, materials, and production technologies to maintain the ministry’s relevance and competitive edge.
Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture, encouraging professional growth and creativity among team members.
Education
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Design, or a related field, or possesses equivalent experience and expertise. A strong portfolio of print design projects
is required
for the interview process.
Job Requirements
Proven leadership experience in managing design teams and production staff.
Extensive knowledge of print design, production processes, and pre-press preparation.
Expertise in stakeholder management, vendor negotiations, and project coordination.
Commitment to sustainability and familiarity with environmentally responsible printing practices.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A forward-thinking mindset to adapt and innovate in print design and production.
Willingness to work outside of office hours (when required) to meet project demands.
