Primary Responsibilities Plan, organize, supervise and control the day‐to‐day operations. Provide advice and assist on technical aspects of verification to meet client's requirements. Specific Responsibilities Tank Calibration Make site visits and review job specifications prior to quotation release on our services. Assist in the execution of Shore and Ship Tank Calibration. Prepare and review reports prior to release. Prepare/update both operational and safety procedures to ensure and stay relevant for fit of use at respective job sites. Supervise and coordinate job scheduling, manpower control and resource allocation needed for job assignment. Accept and issue job instructions and control of special operations. Assist in the development of existing and new business through regular client contacts. Maintain department equipment/assets. Raise purchase requisition for equipment required. Assist in the development and training of staff to required level of expertise. Ensure that all operations are conducted within client's health and safety requirements. Recognize that the department Quality system is fully implemented as per the QA Manual. Perform any ad‐hoc task that may be assigned from time to time. N.B. All jobs done in accordance to SGS Standard Procedures and/or Local Procedures where applicable. Requirements Degree/Equivalent in any Engineering discipline Minimum 2 years of working experience Good computing skills and knowledge Able to coordinate and motivate a team towards a common goal Able to maintain highest quality standard all the time Able to work independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously Able to interact with all levels of management, suppliers and clients Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills Acts quickly and decisively; able to make tough calls Works well under pressure, challenges status quo Apply judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity Able to ensure that process flow and work delivery is accurate and timely Able to give best customer care and services Additional advantage for candidates who possess one or more of the following skills: Good computer knowledge in MS Office particularly Excel (Macro / VB)Laser Surveying knowledge (3D scanner, Total Station, Horizontal Level, etc.)Good to have Singapore class 3 driving license Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Professional Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at SGS by 2x Get notified about new Calibration Engineer jobs in Singapore, Singapore. #J-18808-Ljbffr
