Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities.The Neurobiology of Aging and Disease Laboratory at LKCMedicine explores how mitochondria—the powerhouses of our cells—shape brain function throughout life. From early development to aging and neurodegeneration, our research seeks to understand how mitochondrial metabolism influences brain health and resilience, paving the way for new biomarkers and mitochondria-targeted therapies for neurological and psychiatric diseases.We are seeking a **Research Assistant** under Assoc Prof Anna Barron to support ongoing projects in the laboratory by designing, executing, and analyzing experiments that advance understanding of how brain immune cells differentiate and functionally specialize, using in vivo microscopy, omics and bioinformatic approaches. The role involves generating high-quality, publication-ready data and figures, maintaining accurate documentation of research procedures, and contributing to manuscripts and reports.
