We’re looking for a
Product Compliance & Risk Manager
to join our growing Product Compliance & Risk team in APAC (South-East Asia) to help the APAC team build and improve Wise products, with a focus on products for Business customers in South-East Asia. This role is hands-on and offers an opportunity to impact Wise’s mission and help save millions of people money.
Note: This is a first line Product Compliance & Risk role, embedded in the APAC Product Squad.
You, together with the team in South-East Asia, will be responsible for:
Responsibilities
Deeply understand regulatory needs, translate them into solutions, and work with Product Teams to build compliant new products and services in a customer‐oriented way.
Perform regulatory analysis of new products and services, and ensure that related controls are implemented consistently prior to launch.
Regulatory risk and remediation
Understand both the Wise product deeply and local regulatory expectations; support Product and other teams on how to interpret regulatory requirements, improve processes, and adapt the product to avoid regulatory breaches and/or incidents.
Collaborate with second line Compliance and Risk teams to identify and align on the main regulatory issues and risks in South-East Asia; present findings clearly to wider teams and work with them to define solutions and execution plans.

Must have
Expertise in regulatory (and ideally financial crime) compliance with a background in Financial Regulation in one or more South-East Asian countries.
Previous experience in FinTech or a financial regulation role (e.g., consultancy, Compliance).
Ability to analyse and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively.
Problem-solving attitude using regulation together with data to drive business decisions.
Strong execution skills, delivering cross-functional projects from inception to completion, timely and with attention to detail.
Fluency in English. Legally authorized to work in Singapore.
Willingness to travel; Wise offices are located across different countries.
Other preferred skills
A collaborative team player able to work with Product and Compliance and other stakeholders.
Passionate about solving problems and building best-in-class products for customers.
Ability to communicate clearly and provide practical, actionable, value-added recommendations.
Fluency in other South-East Asian languages is a plus.
