If you're passionate about innovation, technology, and growth, we invite you to be part of DayOne's next chapter.## Responsibilities:## Leadership and Supervision:* Lead and manage a team of shift technicians, ensuring they perform their duties effectively.* Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.## Operational Oversight:* Ensure all data centre operations are running smoothly and efficiently during the shift.* Monitor critical services and building systems to identify and address potential issues promptly.* Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to resolve operational challenges.## Shift Handover Management:* Prepare detailed shift handover reports, documenting all relevant information, incidents, and actions taken during the shift.* Ensure shift handover reports are completed and communicated effectively before the end of each shift.* Conduct shift handover meetings to brief the incoming shift on the current status and any ongoing issues.## Compliance and Safety:* Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.* Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for the shift team.* Report and document any safety incidents or near-misses promptly.## Technical Support:* Provide technical assistance and support to the shift team as needed.* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the shift.* Coordinate with the technical support team for complex problem resolution.**Continuous Improvement:*** Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.* Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the shift team.* Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.## Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field)- Minimum (2) years of experience in data centre operations or a similar role.* Strong leadership and team management skills.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Technical proficiency in data centre systems and operations.* Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.* Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards.DayOne is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
