About the role Reporting to the Automotive Engineering team, this full-time EV Motor Vehicle Mechanic role at BYD by JC Pte Ltd in Teban Gardens West Region offers an exciting opportunity to work on the latest electric vehicle (EV) technologies. As an EV Motor Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our cutting-edge EV fleet, playing a crucial part in keeping our vehicles running smoothly and efficiently. What you'll be doing Performing scheduled maintenance and inspections on EV vehicles to ensure optimal performance Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with EV motors, batteries, electrical systems, and other components Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components, adhering to manufacturer specifications Collaborating with the Engineering team to implement new EV technologies and processes Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance and repair work Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations What we're looking for Minimum 2 years of experience as an EV or automotive mechanic, with a strong understanding of electric vehicle technology Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools for EV maintenance and repair Knowledge of EV electrical systems, batteries, motors, and other components Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work Flexible and adaptable to changing technologies and processes What we offer At BYD by JC Pte Ltd, we are dedicated to providing our employees with a rewarding and fulfilling work environment.
