Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Director of Data Center Operations to lead data center teams in our APAC Regions. Our data centers are the foundation of the Oracle Cloud initiative which is rapidly growing. This role will oversee our expanding APAC presence including existing Data Center regions, Global Network Backbone and the establishment of new data center teams as we continue to expand our infrastructure. The successful candidate will partner closely with other regional leads, engineering and service teams to deliver and maintain mission critical IT hardware. The Senior Director of Data Center Operations will create industry leading strategy, hire leaders and run day-to-day operations, develop talent, and deliver the right processes and standards to enable Oracles Cloud growth. This position is full-time, based in Singapore.Responsibilities : Build and lead a high performing, geographically dispersed team responsible for the installation, maintenance and operation of server hardware across multiple data center regions Mentor and develop managers while evolving staffing models to meet the requirements of a Global Cloud organization Develop and maintain a scalable operations model with a well-documented roadmap, goals, objectives and continuous improvement roadmaps Help create and drive the vision and strategy to take data center operations to the next level of industry leadership Work with centralized organizations to evaluate, implement and manage outsourced services Partner with hardware engineering, procurement, and program management teams to deliver infrastructure with industry-leading performance, quality, and reliability Partner across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to assure tooling roadmaps and resources accurately reflect the needs and priorities of the Global Operations Team Work with Site Selection and Design and Construction teams on the handoff of new Regions and Day-To-Day Operations Manage all Policy-related engagement between data center regions and centralized teams, and with local, regional and national employment laws Be the single point of contact for DCO, Security and Compliance teams on cloud compliance requirements for access control, data handling, drive destruction, chain of custody, and security breaches Establish milestones and deliverables meet any identified contractual or compliance gaps Develop and manage to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Operations mission critical functions In coordination with other teams, scope and execute data center retrofit/upgrade projects Prepare and manage OPEX budget Ability to travel 20-25% Minimum Qualification 10-15 years experience leading data center or technical operations organizations Proven experience leading technical projects in the server, network or hardware space Communication experience at an executive level Proven experience with public facing roles Good presentation skills in leading meetings (both conference and in person) Highly organized with proved project management abilities Experience in personnel management, staffing, and scheduling for a high availability environment as well as development of a management team Strong verbal and written communications skills Ability to multitask, establish priorities, manage conflicts Preferred Qualification 5 years leadership experience in data center facility operations. Budget / P/L responsibility Understanding of data center power and cooling infrastructure Understanding of environmental health and safety programs Understanding of network and cabling infrastructure ITIL license preferred 3 years with information security, preferably HIPAA, PCI or other regulated environment. Understanding of data privacy issues related to FERPA, HIPAA, CMIA and/or PCI Awareness of existing HIPAA, HITECH, and FERPA regulations As part of Oracle's employment process candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment screening process, prior to an offer being made.
