What the role is As a Senior Assistant Director/ Deputy Director, Contracts in the Infrastructure and Facility Services Division, you will lead a dynamic team that provides contract and procurement support in the development of school campuses. What you will be working on Conduct procurement of consultancy and construction services, develop guidelines and provide advice to the department in this area Review the costs for school development projects to ensure proposed budgets and expenditure for construction are value for money Develop effective and efficient processes to ensure proper contract administration by the department, including overseeing a team of contract managers to assess variation costs, verify work done on-site, evaluate progress claims and finalise accounts Engage schools, project teams, industry partners and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and understanding of contract and procurement policies and procedures What we are looking for At least 8 years of relevant work experience in quantity surveying or related disciplines, with at least 3 years of working experiences in a leadership position Possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of procurement and quantity surveying in the building and construction industry A dynamic and innovative individual, with strong leadership, communication and analytical skills In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 3 weeks of the close of the application window.
