Job Overview

Eigen Energy is a leading systems integrator for solar energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. We possess technical competencies in engineering, construction, energy management, software development, and cross-platform integration.

We are seeking an experienced technology leader to provide strategic guidance, ensuring our technology stack aligns with business objectives and implementing innovative solutions to yield a competitive advantage with the software architecture.

  • Developing a comprehensive technology strategy that supports business goals
  • Defining and communicating technical requirements
  • Actively participating in the application lifecycle, from development to testing and debugging
  • Overseeing current system architecture and collaborating with technical staff to recommend improvements
  • Creating and implementing risk mitigation processes and conducting security audits to identify weaknesses in applications
  • Establishing data protection protocols to ensure security governance
  • Implementing best practices and coding standards within projects
  • Building common libraries and expanding the technology stack to future-proof it for scalability as the app expands into foreign markets
  • Scaling teams by attracting and mentoring exceptional individuals at various experience levels to grow well-balanced, high-performing teams
  • Providing leadership, support, and motivation to technical team members

We require a skilled professional with:

  • At least 8 years of software development experience
  • 2 years of experience leading a team
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, CSS, ReactJS, and NPM
  • Proven experience designing maintainable RESTful APIs
  • Proven experience creating secure and stable systems
  • Experience with agile development and CI/CD
  • Good understanding of static page development and deployment
  • Experience with automated testing and frameworks
  • Experience developing microservices-based systems
  • Experience with modern statically typed languages like Java, Kotlin, and Golang
  • Experience in API-driven and test-driven design
  • Experience with agile development and CI/CD
  • Experience with SQL databases, preferably MySQL
  • Experience working with public cloud providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Good knowledge of streaming concepts and technologies like Kafka
  • Good knowledge and experience in applying GitOps
  • Good knowledge and experience in automated testing and frameworks
  • Experience working with monitoring tools like Grafana and Loki
  • Experience working with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Jsonnet
  • Experience in the Electric Vehicle (EV) charging space and familiarity with industry protocols and concepts like OCPP, OCPI, and OICP
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
