Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist North Region Permanent Job Description Job Scopes: Supervise daily laboratory operations, ensuring timely prioritisation and suitability of specimens for testing. Lead and guide team members in testing processes, result reporting, and compliance with protocols. Monitor team performance and optimize workflows to meet set performance indicators. Manage incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions. Oversee maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory and point‐of‐care equipment. Maintain and operate laboratory systems and related software effectively. Provide training, assess competency, and support the development of lab technologists and junior staff. Review and maintain documentation, including SOPs, forms, and work instructions; support lab administrative tasks. Job Requirements: Recognized qualification in medical laboratory science or related field with relevant supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, equipment, and quality assurance standards. Proficient in using laboratory information systems and associated software. Demonstrated leadership, problem‐solving, and decision‐making abilities. Strong commitment to compliance, continuous learning, and quality improvement practices.
