Senior Application Analyst Programmer

Job Summary The role focuses on supporting Calypso, managing incidents and user requests, ensuring smooth production operations, and driving continuous improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong Calypso expertise, a solid understanding of financial instruments, and proven experience in post-trade support within Capital Markets. Mandatory Skill-set Must have 7+ years hands‐on experience with Calypso (Back Office), preferably on Calypso v16; Must have in-depth knowledge of Calypso back‐office functionalities, including Engines, Events, Filters, Reporting Framework, and Scheduled Tasks along with proficiency in Messaging (Swift), Transfers, Settlement Delivery Instructions, Accounting, Pricers, Workflows, and Reconciliation is essential; Must have exposure with regulatory reporting such as MMSR and ability to write and maintain programmable code (Java or similar); Experience in problem management and process improvements; Desired Skill-set Willingness to participate in on‐call rotation (night/weekend support); Strong understanding of financial assets (FX, Money Market, Cash) and the trade lifecycle; Experience mentoring junior team members. Responsibilities Provide Level 2 support for Calypso back‐office users; Investigate and resolve incidents promptly, acting as the main contact for user requests and escalating issues as needed; Coordinate cross‐team incidents and propose solutions, supervise batch processes, collaborate with build teams on fixes, maintain knowledge bases, conduct training, and mentor junior team members; Implement application monitoring for proactive issue detection, generate operational and data quality reports, and automate manual processes to enhance efficiency; Perform release testing, validation, and production deployment; Analyze application performance and propose optimizations; Participate in weekend production releases on a rotational basis; Write and maintain application code as per technical specifications.
