Job Title: Environmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Environmental Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that environmental management plans are implemented and adhered to at all times. This includes monitoring and verifying that environmental impacts are kept to a minimum during the planning and design and construction phases of the project.

Key responsibilities include conducting surveillance, monthly inspections and detailed audits, compiling and completing checklists to aid surveillance and inspection requirements, keeping records of activities/incidents concerning the environment on site, recommending penalties for contravention of the environmental management plan, preparing and submitting site environmental control programmes and reports, identifying environmental issues and recommending measures to rectify irregularities, assisting authorities to investigate environmental issues, and organizing campaigns, training courses and other activities to develop and sustain interest in maintaining good environmental health standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Registration with the National Environment Agency;
  • Good knowledge of ECO Scheme and Environmental Laws;
  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant working experience in the construction industry, particularly civil works or LTA projects;
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems;
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills;
  • A positive attitude and ability to work independently.
