Position Statement The Paint Technician is responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance and repair works, with a particular emphasis on painting, finishing, and surface restoration throughout the hotel premises. Working closely with the Engineering team, the Technician ensures that all assigned areas are maintained in excellent aesthetic and functional condition, while also supporting broader maintenance tasks as needed. What will I be doing? As a Paint Technician, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: · Perform all types of painting, staining, varnishing, and finishing works for guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and other facilities as assigned. · Prepare surfaces (e.g., patching, sanding, cleaning) prior to painting or finishing works to ensure quality and durability. · Conduct regular inspections and touch-up painting to maintain appearance standards throughout the property. · Follow established safety procedures for handling painting materials and equipment (e.g., ladders, scaffolding, chemical substances). · Assist in general maintenance duties, including repairs and servicing of fixtures, minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work when required. · Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from departments, ensuring timely and quality completion. · Maintain proper inventory of painting supplies, tools, and materials; report low stock levels to supervisors. · Keep records of work performed and materials used. · Ensure compliance with fire safety, health, and environmental regulations related to painting and general maintenance activities. · Collaborate with the Engineering team to support hotel operational needs and emergencies. · Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required. · Carry out any other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors or management. A successful candidate will possess the following attributes, knowledge, and skills: · Proven experience in painting, finishing, or general maintenance work within a commercial or hospitality setting. · Good understanding of painting techniques, surface preparation, and proper use of painting tools and materials. · Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of workmanship. · Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. · Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude. · A positive, service-minded attitude with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
