Responsibilities
- Regularly participate in verification audits to provide objective, independent assurance on the effectiveness of the Safety Management Program (SMP)
- Facilitate and liaise with Operations leaders and multiple stakeholders to mutually accept audit findings and corrective action
- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure appropriate corrective action has been taken to resolve identified deficiencies
- Perform analyses of audit outcomes and make recommendations for process and system improvements
- Highlight and provide corrective action solutions for hazards identified outside of a defined audit scope
- Partner with the SMP team, Data Center Health and Safety (DCHS) and HS Legal to create a continuous loop of feedback that will continuously improve the SMP
- Share best practices to assist in the continuous improvement of individual and organizational H&S performance
- Support onboarding and coaching of audit team members regarding audit methodology and expectations
- Other H&S program management duties as needed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum four-year college degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), 2+ years’ of OHS or equivalent experience
- 2+ years’ experience in internal or external auditing
- 2+ years’ experience in program or project management
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally (estimated at 50% - 70%)
Preferred Qualifications
- ISO45001 internal auditor certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of start
- Experience working with multiple countries/jurisdictions to deliver audit programs
- Knowledge of applicable region-specific federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
