Job Description

We are seeking a Research Fellow for a 2-year contract to contribute to the group's goals. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A PhD in philosophy or physics
  • A strong research track record
  • A concrete proposal for a research project related to the Group's interests
  • Excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Collaborate with Asst. Prof. Chua on ongoing projects
  • Develop their own independent research projects
  • Plan and organize events (workshops, conferences, summer schools) for the Group
  • Host visiting academics
  • Present work related to the group's goals at relevant conferences and workshops
Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Research experience on topics like general philosophy of science, philosophy of physics (especially philosophy of thermodynamics and statistical mechanics)
  • Interest or experience in quantum or relativistic thermodynamics is a plus
