They design innovative learning activities and resources, contribute to experimental teaching approaches, and foster individual and cohort progression to enhance student outcomes. The role also includes managing course administration, quality assurance, maintaining professional development in pedagogy and discipline knowledge, and articulating a clear teaching philosophy that inspires learning.Why this role matters The UNSW Education Focused roles enable academics to specialise in education and devote their time to delivering high‐quality teaching and pursuing initiatives to enhance the educational experience of our students. Appointees will be expected to successfully drive educational excellence within the university's teaching and learning communities.Responsibilities As a Lecturer (EF), you will deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses, assess student learning, and provide tailored academic support. You will design innovative learning activities and resources, contribute to the development of experimental teaching approaches, and foster individual and cohort progression to enhance student outcomes. Your role includes managing course administration and quality assurance, maintaining professional development in pedagogy and discipline knowledge, and articulating a clear teaching philosophy that inspires learning.Qualifications & Skills A PhD in a related biomedical or medical discipline (preferred), and/or relevant work experience.Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline‐based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales).Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work‐integrated learning (desirable).Actively stays up‐to‐date with discipline knowledge and professional development.Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.Pre‐employment Checks Required For This Position Verification of qualifications.Benefits And Culture 17% Superannuation and leave loadingFlexible workingAdditional 3 days of leave over the Christmas PeriodAccess to lifelong learning and career developmentProgressive HR practicesApplication Instructions Please click on "Apply now" to apply online.
