Electrical Supervisor Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in buildings. They will also supervise electricians, coordinate operations, manage work schedules, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in buildings
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures, and maintain maintenance records
  • Supervise, train, and mentor electricians and electrical workers
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and electrical codes
  • Plan and schedule projects and prepare and maintain project records
  • Inspect and test electrical equipment, components and systems to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
  • Resolve problems and ensure that work is completed to clients' satisfaction
  • Order electrical supplies and equipment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the electrical team's operations
  • Ensure all electrical work meets quality and safety standards
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and manage emergency electrical services
  • Perform regular inspections and troubleshooting to detect faulty wiring or defective parts and arrange for necessary repairs
  • Provide training and guidance to the electrical team
  • Prepare and present reports on the status of electrical projects and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an electrical supervisor or a similar role in the electrical field
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, electrical repairs, components, and safety procedures
  • Familiarity with electrical system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Professional certification such as a diploma or a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
