The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. We are looking for a Research Assistant/Associate to contribute to a translational research project aimed at improving symptom monitoring and management in patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS-D) through the development of a novel, AI-enabled wearable device. The role will focus on conducting clinical trials, collecting and analysing biomedical data, training machine learning models for bowel sound classification, and supporting prototype refinement and software integration for eventual commercialisation. Key Responsibilities: Conduct clinical trial operations, including patient recruitment and data collection Preparation of IRB applications, informed consent forms, and study protocol amendments in accordance with institutional and regulatory guidelines Manage and preprocess biosignal data for analysis and AI model training Collaborate with partners on prototype testing and development Assist with mobile app testing and ensure reliable data flow between the device and cloud system Required educational qualification, experience, skills and competencies: Bachelor degree (for Assistant) or Master degree (for Associate) in Data Science, Computer Science, Biological Sciences or related field At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in machine learning model development, preferably involving biomedical signals or clinical datasets Experience with IRB submissions and clinical trial coordination is preferred Proficiency in Python, R, or MATLAB for data analysis, and familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP) will be an advantage Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team Entry level candidates are welcome to apply Hiring Institution: LKC #J-18808-Ljbffr
