Job Description:

As a senior regulatory expert, you will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting telecom regulatory developments. This includes understanding the latest trends and updates on interconnection, wholesale access, and competition.

You will also be tasked with ensuring operational compliance with telecom codes of practice and interconnection agreements. Additionally, you will prepare regulatory submissions, position papers, and consultation responses.

Another key aspect of this role is building and maintaining strong relationships with industry peers and internal business units. You will collaborate with these groups to implement regulatory decisions and fulfill regulatory requirements.

Furthermore, you will manage interconnection agreements with peer operators, analyze interconnect cost structures, and recovery mechanisms.

Finally, you will advise management on regulatory assessments of opportunities and threats, incorporating public policy considerations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, or a related field with 10 years of working experience in regulated industries.
  • Highly analytical skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with good problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with commercial awareness of telecom business models.
  • Previous work experience in a highly regulated environment.
